Water Gluta
Gluta coarctata
known as the "Water Gluta" or "Terentang" in some regions, is a medium-sized tree found primarily in coastal and swampy areas of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its smooth, grayish-brown bark and its elliptical to obovate leaves, which are typically glossy and dark green. The tree produces small, yellowish-white flowers that grow in clusters, which later develop into small, kidney-shaped fruits that turn dark purple or black when ripe. This species is adapted to wet environments, often found along riverbanks and in mangrove forests.
